About Louise
I know these environments because I have lived them.

Before establishing my coaching practice, I spent twenty-five years working within not-for-profit organisations, including twenty years in senior leadership roles. Throughout that time, I led people functions, supported organisational change, worked alongside Boards and Trustees, advised Executive teams and navigated the complexity that comes with organisations driven by purpose as well as people.

It was a career that I valued enormously because I believed deeply in the organisations I served and the difference they were striving to make.

It also gave me a unique insight into the experiences of the many talented women who dedicate their careers to these environments.

Women who are thoughtful, committed and highly capable. Women who carry significant responsibility. Women who care deeply about their colleagues, their organisations and the people those organisations exist to serve.

The conversations that stayed with me

Throughout my career, one conversation appeared time and again.

Not always in formal meetings. Often quietly, over a coffee, after a Board meeting or at the end of a particularly demanding day. Women would talk about how much more they were questioning themselves than they used to.

They would describe spending longer making decisions, replaying conversations in their minds or wondering whether they had handled a situation in the right way.

These were not inexperienced leaders. They were women with decades of knowledge, wisdom and professional judgement.
Yet somewhere along the way, trusting themselves had become harder than it once was.

Those conversations have stayed with me throughout my career and became one of the reasons I chose to establish my coaching practice.
Why this work matters to me
I believe many experienced women don't need to become different leaders. They don't need to become louder, more assertive or more like someone else. More often, they need the time and space to reconnect with the judgement, wisdom and quiet authority they have built throughout their careers.

That belief sits at the heart of everything I do.

It is why I developed The Self-Trust Method, a coaching approach centred on rebuilding trust in your own judgement rather than chasing confidence as though it were something that has disappeared.

Because in my experience, confidence is rarely the starting point. Self-trust is.
My Approach
Coaching with me is thoughtful, reflective and practical.

I create a confidential space where you can think clearly, explore the challenges you're facing and make decisions that feel aligned with your values, your leadership and the future you want to create.

Sometimes our conversations focus on navigating organisational politics or preparing for important conversations. Sometimes they explore leadership, identity or the patterns that have gradually shaped the way you make decisions.

Whatever brings you to coaching, my role is never to tell you what to think. It is to ask the questions that help you hear your own thinking more clearly.
The Values That Shape My Coaching
There are a few beliefs that underpin every coaching conversation I have.

I believe that thoughtful leadership is one of the greatest strengths an organisation can have, and that many experienced women already possess far more wisdom than they give themselves credit for.

I believe that the most meaningful change rarely comes from trying to become someone different. It comes from recognising the strengths, judgement and experience that have been there all along and learning to trust them again.

Above all, I believe coaching should provide something that many senior leaders have very little of: uninterrupted time to think, reflect and make decisions with clarity.

It is a privilege to hold that space for my clients, and I never lose sight of the trust they place in me.
Shall We Have a Conversation
If you've recognised something of yourself in these pages, I'd love to hear your story.

A discovery call is simply an opportunity for us to talk about where you are now, what you're hoping to achieve and whether coaching feels like the right fit for you.

There is no obligation and no expectation. Just a confidential conversation.
